LEGAL ORGANISATIONS
Pro Bono Unit
This organisation is an association that deals with those who are looking to engage barristers on what is termed pro-bono which basically is an agreement not to charge a fee if the case is lost, and to get their costs from the opposing party if they win. However, this still leaves the client open to a cost order against them from the opposing side if they lose.

Bar in the Community
Is part of the Pro-Bono Unit which has a listing of organisations needing profession help, this list is then accessed by volunteers from the legal profession who might want to volunteer to help that group, this is not about legal challenges, but other aspects of administration and legal services, say the registration of a charity.
