Planning SanityPlanning Sanity was set up to help local communities tackle adverse planning and development applications that threaten to blight their communities. All the resources found on this site can be freely used to further those aims, but recognition for our work is appreciated. The site is set up in forums, each forum is intended to be a complete unit providing all the resources needed for that topic. First look to the topic forum where you will find a further menu to the various areas, such as Village Greens and Telecommunications (mobile phone base stations). Other areas, such as mailing lists that allow debates on chosen topics and membership details are found on the main menu. Planning Sanity is entirely funded from your donations, therefore please give generously in order that we can continue our vital work. We are also setting up an online shop whhich contains many fundraising item's as well as usefull campaign resources, please use these respources as they come online, because every purchase helps our work, as well as giving you the tools to mount a successful campaign. Planning Sanity was set up in 1999 as a direct response to an increasing number of requests from environmentalists and Green Party members (although we are strictly none political with members from all political affiliations), for help fighting adverse planning developments. We are now able to offer online help, a 'free' advise line (0871 750 3992), affordable training workshops, representation at public inquiries and council planning meetings, speakers for public meetings. As well as access to a range of specialists. AIMS OF CAMPAIGN1) To have a 'free' advice line for local communities and campaign groups affected by adverse planning and development applications and decisions.2)To provide a Resource Centre - where groups and campaigns can access copies of legislation, case profiles and briefings on planning issues and the planning system, and connected subjects. 3) Access to legal and other professional services at low (or no) cost, to provide speakers and advisors for those starting local campaigns. 4) To campaign for a new Parliamentary Bill to bring about planning sanity for those communities adversely affected by inappropriate developments. |
